today the subject is math

The Stranger

this is a prompt that I was in a story contest last year and i never quite got around to writing it. I found the poster a couple days ago and here what i cam up with.


"Now i should trust you .Why now,Why should i trust you all of a sudden should i trust you . You lied to pretending this whole thing was no big deal to it spun all out of control and you just decided to abandon me now you come back. So tell me why should i trust you know?" I finish off my rage with Bernie. He takes a pause that i know only could of been a few seconds but felt like hours. "cause i am your only way to survive." i took a big breath and followed him on.

I know this is not the average conversation you would have with a garbage man but by life was bot ever normal since January of this year. Okay i will let you read my diary but it goes against my better judgement. You just have to promise me one thing .That you will never tell anybody that i wrote in or have a diary i just stopped being called gay last week and i don't want to be on that road again. Just so that you know if you are hoping for a journal filled with puffy clouds,unicorns and normal teenage problems you need to put this paper down and don't look back. Okay that took care of all the wimps now to the real part of the story. I can't be held responsible for any trauma,nausea or anxiety you may feel from after reading this story.

today was the weirdest day ever for two reasons.one i got mail and the other what was in the actual package. it was a simply wrapped package with brown paper and a thin white string but inside was something special i could tell just by looking at it. It was a decaying leather bound book with and unpronounceable title. I am not even quite sure that it was written in English i opened trying to decipher some clue to who sent it. i found a note that said:

Dear boy,

you need to listen and listen well i now the problems that you face and this book is that answer to all of you big problems in life don't use this for the petty things in life because if you do the spirits that possess this book will anger and trust me this is not something that you want.If you ever need help just write me a letter go to you front lawn and burn that's right i said burn it. This will not make sense but you just have to trust i will get it and i will.oh yeah and you unless you are a mystical creature which i think or hope you aren't you need the glasses in the back the of the book.

hey these classes are awesome and totally freaky at the same time they help me to read the story of some boy around my age who didn't fit and he found his book and wild things happen. I forgot to tell you about the disclaimer it said once you put on these glasses you will never live the same life again it will be different no matter if you stop after this sentence or read the whole way it will always be different.Not until after i read the first chapter i read this i typically don't read directions first.

y life did change i went to school today and not one person walked by me and called me a single name they didn't even try to beat me up and my test i got all A's like if i was the new mot popular smart kid. it must of been a fluke because this would never happen to me Ned Nerdman i know my name is just bound for kids to tease me on my voice and appearance doesn't do much to help me either.my only question is why was i chosen to get this book why not any one else in the world or is it an old family airlum? well i write it down to Bernie and burn it in the morning

Little did Ned know that Bernie was not just some old relative he was closer to him than he thought. Bernie was acting as the Neighborhood trash man. he was over 1000 years old . When he was about Ned's age he received the book as well. He was the only person currently living person that knows what Ned is about to face. He , I mean Bernie had special vision enhanced by his old age. the creatures that no one else could see they weren''t imaginary you see them every day you just don't take the time to notice that they coexist among you. They are the shadows.They seem to just follow you if you are just glancing not observing them.Shadows belong to this class of humans that is called shadi which is a word meaning unseen by the Nagromes.But that is a whole different story. Have you ever felt like you done something where you feel like its not you controlling you but someone else. This other person is the shadow. Although you think you control it; it controls you.

In this book that Ned found calledthe shadowsreally in english is translaed to the shadows. this book will teach him all he needs to know about The art of shadow keeping.

Hey i read the second chapter in this werid book and i was able to decipher that it was some code it was the weridest thing tranlated in english like one said monkey see monkey do monkey me monkey you monkey follow me . BUt i must say when i saw the text in the. book .So like a fool i went up to the biggest,meanest toughest kid in school and said monkey see monkey do monkeymo monkey you monkey follow me. This is the showcking part what ever i told him to do after he did .I know that bernie person told me not to use on petty problems but my face being smashed i isnt you "petty " problem that is an lady liberty size problem.I wonder what will happen if i send this email with a video of me saying this spell to every one will it have the same effect. be back in 30 mins

Ned got out of his closet,his usual journaling spot and thewent to the computer.Logged on to his yahoo email account geeksgetthegirl and checks his inbox furiously. He was looking for the last school wide email sent. The pricipal uese this so that they can talk to each student when a problem occurs with out taking out of class. 12-12-05 was the ltest email he could find it was about a bulling issue. He pushed reply to all and taped the video. and sent it along.

Intro to criminal

Why?Why me? I know I should of never trusted that picture perfect criminal of blonde .What a sweet girl they said. What a nice citizen they said. They forgot to leave out the part in which said thats she was a perfect criminal too. I nevr thought that the end of my life would be ina small concrete room with steel bars i though it would be more.. well I never quite thought of that small detail before but if i had a normal life maybe in thirty forty years i would but i will never get to see that day.Well by this time you either thinking i'll just put thisstory down right where i found it and leave go ahead if you chicken thats right i said it bawk bawk. or two you thinking will this girl just start and that i will do now.

It all started with my vagabond of a mothersaying lets move I don't think you should be subjected to the same life as a kid you should expierence. If your a normal child this is just a parent saying something thaey would enver in a million years go through with. But me this is code for my mom and her overly scoffriendly nto waste a single thing,must be so "green' that it kills people trying to live normal life found an objeciton at work itsead of just perorting she has to be an e"empowered women" and stand up for herrself. So moves like this are as ofeten almost as homework for me.

So we back and move to this no mans land calledwycoff'newjersy more like why move if you ask me .I mean the place "interesting " to say the least. But we move in to this house that color is well lets just say you wouldn't see it unless you look in the sewer. And next to us is this house in like puffy pony pink .eewwhhh!!I hate pink more then i hate moving do i hate the color pink. And these preppy dressed nieghbors walk out. and when iopen the door a second after they lose theirs they are already in my doorstep. Werid this was the start of my problems not noticing that they were vilians.

I go to school the next day. have you ever had the feeling that your being talked about and the second you wal past them they stop as if they want to make you fell like the guck at the bottom of your shoe. Nobody even knew my name and this was already the case. Walkin in to the office i say my name is sunny , it is really Alexis but i like saying my name is sunny becase i dressin the blackest of black clothing so when i say Hi.My name is sunny they think what how could a mother name a child something so full of life and the child is so lifeless herself. I got sunny from one of my freinds when i was little . I don't ever remeber wearing another color besides black. It was just a joke but then it became aa name . You know one of those name you pick up in a locker room or in class notheing really meaingful it just kinda stuck. Wait where was i. oh yeahwehn i said this they noisy office seem to come to a halting stop. And the office assistant a sixth grader said "i like it ,so inspiring really fits you i mean like totally?" in a perky voice you would kill somebody to get rid of.

So i got my schedule and was of my first class was computers easy i taken this corse so many times i think that i sould pass it sleeping. evry place they learn the same thing and every teacher starts off with thesame lame joke"HI class were going to have a fun year in compyterclass. My name is insert name here .have you ever heard the joke about tech support. well it goes like this . one day a man calls tech support and says tech support techsupport what should i do my computer crashes every time i press enter. the man from tech support says stop pressing enter." by this time the teacherr demonstrates the quirky laugh that is similar to the paino f driving a nial in your ear. I know i am just miss sinshine.

Well school pretty much was like you average joe day of school when i got home my mom was in the corner of the living room with a bat ready to strike when i walked in." she sayssunny your home "in a cheerful voice. then tells me that our safe was robbed by this theif that was about 5'10 and had legs that went on forever.and was dressd in pink why pink maybe they did it as a message for a clue to who they really are. vilians aren't that smart i told my mom otherwise they would be getting money for waht they have theskills to do instead of jailtime.

Well it eventually came down to the time where my first project with a partner cam around in a new school being the new girl i still did't know any body and the halfway descent people were taken in a matter of seconds all that were left was the outlier nerd and one of the goth girls either way you mix it is bad luck on my behalf. Suddenly the girl from the pink house arrives in the doorway just like she did at my house. Class we need to welcome miss white to our class she was just tranferring classes many of you should know her already. before i knew it the nerrdy kid and goth girl partenered up and their i was like a deer in headlights waiting it timely doom.
she suggested that we would start to tonight at her house at around five oclock.I said okay.

when i arrivedd in my usual black attire ringing the doorbell of a puffy pink house. Hey an overrly peppy voice greats me. it was mrs.White then she says oh you must be here for my little snowbelle's slumber sinhdig. i was so confused by two things after mrs. white said this one why is her voice so diffrent everytime i see her it was like five pitches hightthen when she came over to greet us. and two what does she mean slumber shindig i thought i was here for a project. Well i just go along with the flow . When i find Snowbelle they are all doing hair. now that's were i put my foot down. carry another girl from school dragged me to the chair and another girl startedd to brush my hair. my hair the one thing nobody touches they crossed the line big time. i stormed out of their like hurricane katrina.

i went home and did the thing i thought i would nevrer everr do icut my hair my long hair that weent down to about my knees the one thing that my vagabond of a mother couldn't touch i cut it all there is only a short bob of hair left. i don't know why i was so posessive about my hair . maybe because over the years it was the one thing about me that stayed the same. nomatter where i lived or howmuch taller i grew my hair was always the same. i mean i didn't let anybody do anything to it . i just think when that girl combed my hair i just lost it felt like like aaaahhh i don't i was just mad okay i dont knwo why. my mom says its because my dad before he dided six years ago said that when the world sees me my hair tells them everything i had to do something to take her writing off my hair.

The next mornigntheir war a report of a crime at the wycoff bank. three hundred thoudand dollars were stolen last night . there was only a single strand left of hair on the scene of the crime exclaimed the news reporter.
